Anthony and Michael Muoio opened Villa Rustica Pizzeria & Trattoria in Rye Brook, New York on June 11, 2007. As with many Italian eateries, Villa Rustica is a family affair. Two brothers own the place, and they come from a family that has been in the restaurant business for 45 years. Their dad, Tony, had pizzerias in the Bronx and Mt. Vernon.
Dinner with 6 friends last night.As usual service and food great.Have been dinning here for the past 3years and can honestly say have never been disappointed. Usually go for the nights specials which are always perfectly prepared. Give the place and try.Great food at decent prices.
Some of the best pizza around! And I've been spoiled by a lot of NYC pizza. My favorite here is the Napoli and a close second is the Parma. I order from them frequently for delivery and they are always consistent in quality and deliver fast. The wings are also fantastic and the canolis are fresh and homemade. Don't hesitate to give this place a shot!
We shared the calamari appetizer. My son chose a small Stracciatella soup, while I enjoyed the Rustica Salad. A large pie with sausage (leftovers for take home, I get the day off from cooking!) I had a small broccoli rabe & extra fresh garlic thin crust pie, which was bursting with flavor and freshness. We also took home the most delicious Rye Brook burger. There were two so we shared one!
We come here for the gluten free pizza and options. Plenty of customer parking, you are greeted right away and seated. Very professional and the food is good every time we go. I'm glad we found this place, specially because of the gluten-free options. The atmosphere feels homey and comfortable. Really give Villa Rustica a try.
